As four Dad’s, directly or through friends, we have experienced the enormous challenge and the helplessness of parenting a critically ill child. One of the crew, John, is father to a daughter born with a complex congenital heart defect (“CHD”) so he and his wife live with this parenting challenge every day. One in every 100 children born today is born with CHD.
And for even the healthiest teenager, mental health issues ranging from depression to eating disorders to self harm to drugs are the latest pandemic in our modern world. Jigsaw saw over 35,000 young people in 2021 and this number is growing yearly.
